How I handle your data.

This site is run by Stefan Ojanen, based in Berlin, Germany. If you have a question about your data, or want it changed or deleted, email sojanen@gmail.com and I will handle it myself.

Only what you type into a form. The Audit request form asks for your name, work email and company, and optionally your role, industry and a description of the process you want to automate. The Toolbox request form asks for name, work email and company.

If you arrived from a campaign, the link you clicked carries tags in the address bar naming that campaign. Those tags are stored alongside your enquiry, so I know which piece of work brought you here. They describe the advert, not you, and they are only recorded if you submit a form.

Reading the site is covered under Cookies and measurement below. No advertising cookie is set unless you accept one.

The ROI calculator runs in your browser and keeps your last result for the rest of your visit, so that if you go on to request an Audit those figures can be sent with it. When that happens the estimate is shown to you on the form first, with a link to remove it, and nothing is sent unless you submit the form. Close the tab and it is gone.

To reply to you, and to understand what you are asking for before that reply. That is the whole basis for the enquiry itself.

If, and only if, you ticked the box asking for it, I will also send you writing on AI in regulated industries. That is a separate choice from making an enquiry, and declining it does not change the reply you get.

A short sequence of four, spread over about five weeks, on getting AI past a risk committee. After the fourth I stop. There is no open-ended newsletter and I will not start one without asking you again.

They are plain text. No tracking pixel, no open or click tracking, so I cannot tell whether you read them.

Every one carries an unsubscribe link, and your mail client's own unsubscribe button works too. It takes one click, with no login and no confirmation step, and it takes effect immediately. Unsubscribing stops the emails but does not delete your details; the erasure route below does that.

Page views are counted through Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier and does not follow you between sites, so it runs without asking. It tells me a page was viewed, not who viewed it.

The only thing that needs your permission is the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which sets a LinkedIn cookie and lets me see which campaigns lead to enquiries. It loads only if you press Accept. Decline, or ignore the banner, and it is never added to the page at all rather than added and switched off.

Your answer is kept in your own browser, not on my server. You can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the site, and clearing your browser data resets it.

Booking a call loads Calendly's own widget, and only once you click to open it. Calendly sets its own cookies at that point and handles that data under its own terms.

Form submissions are stored in a Supabase database hosted in the EU. Email, both the notification to me and anything sent to you, goes through Resend. Booking a call goes through Calendly, which handles that data under its own terms.

I do not sell your details, share them with advertisers, or pass them to anyone else.

Enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period after, so I have a record of what was discussed. If you ask me to delete your details, I will delete them.

A record of a deletion request is kept after the deletion itself, showing that it was made and actioned. It holds the address the request was for and nothing else, because without it I could not show a request had been honoured.

You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw marketing consent at any time, or object to how it is used. You can also complain to your national data protection authority if you think I have handled something badly.

Deletion you can do yourself, without waiting for me: enter your address below, click the link I send you, and everything held for it is removed. The confirmation step exists so that nobody can delete someone else's details by typing their address in.
